For more specific help about what to do if you come across anything on the internet that concerns you, internet safety, internet security and guides to using social media, take a look at the information below:

  • Concerned that a child, young person or vulnerable adult might be in danger right now? Always dial 999 for the Police.
  • Generally worried about the welfare of a child or vulnerable adult living in Suffolk, telephone Customer First on 0808 800 4005. After 5.20pm during weekdays and after 4.20pm from Fridays and through the weekend, dial the same telephone to reach the emergency duty service.
  • If you would like to know more about the role of social services in helping and protecting vulnerable members of our community, visit the Adult Safeguarding Board and Suffolk Safeguarding Children Board websites.
